Baroque residential towns were characterized by an extensive court complex.<\/p>\n
The palace was the focal point, as the prince saw himself as the center of his state. Therefore, additional functional buildings were added to his court, especially a stable (horse stalls) and a coach house. In Kirchheimbolanden, these two buildings flanked the west and southwest sides of the Palace Square. <\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Palace Church [Location 30], garden complexes (Palace Garden and Terrace Garden) [Locations 33, 34], the Orangery [Location 41], and the Ball House [Location 25] also belonged to the princely court area.<\/p>\n
