The Donnersberg District Cantorate was selected by the German Choral Association along with other choirs and\, with its financial support\, is organizing a concert at St. Paul’s Church where some of these new songs will be presented. In addition to Jewish choral music\, Sophia Stegner will perform music from the film “Schindler’s List” on the violin\, among other pieces. Furthermore\, space will be created for a regional culture of remembrance\, and so the evening will also focus on Jewish life in Kirchheimbolanden. Nina Steuerwald and her team explore the opera’s fascinating and contradictory characters with their young group and bring them to life in an imaginative and creative way. Through acting\, singing\, and self-made props and costumes\, the children step into the roles of Tamino\, Papageno\, the Queen of the Night\, and all the other characters. In the background\, organ music can be heard\, played by Ulrike Heubeck\, who is involved in this project with the kindergarten. \nEveryone\, young and old\, is invited to the Paulskirche to be enchanted. After the performance\, the celebration continues on the forecourt with coffee and cake. \nProceeds from the event will benefit the project “Future of the Paulskirche”.
