Vorgeführt wird der monumentale Stummfilm Metropolis von Fritz Lang. Der historische Science-Fiction Film\, dessen Schauplatz eine futuristische Großstadt mit ausgeprägter Zweiklassengesellschaft ist\, gilt als einer der bedeutensten Werke der Filmgeschichte. Prof. Lucas Pohle aus Leipzig und Orgelprofessor an der Hochschule für Evang. Kirchenmusik in Bayreuth stellt den Film mit improvisierter Orgelmusik auf eine neue Ebene. Nina Steuerwald and her team explore the opera’s fascinating and contradictory characters with their young group and bring them to life in an imaginative and creative way. Through acting\, singing\, and self-made props and costumes\, the children step into the roles of Tamino\, Papageno\, the Queen of the Night\, and all the other characters. In the background\, organ music can be heard\, played by Ulrike Heubeck\, who is involved in this project with the kindergarten. \nEveryone\, young and old\, is invited to the Paulskirche to be enchanted. Furthermore\, space will be created for a regional culture of remembrance\, and so the evening will also focus on Jewish life in Kirchheimbolanden.
