At the Top of the Palatinate

In the very north of the Palatinate, the Donnersberger Land captivates with its charming interplay of gentle hills, sprawling valleys, rustic forests, and romantic vineyards. Surrounded by the Palatinate Forest and Leiningerland, by Rheinhessen and the Palatinate Uplands, the Donnersberg mountain towers over the surrounding area. It is both the namesake and landmark of the region, and at 687 meters, it is the highest elevation in the Palatinate. Only those who have already climbed it and enjoyed the breathtaking views from Ludwigsturm or Königsstuhl can truly claim to have been “at the top” of the Palatinate. The Donnersberger Land is a region of well-being and enjoyment, something even the Celts and Romans appreciated many years ago. Here you can spend the most beautiful days of the year, relaxed and away from the crowds. Hop on your bike, lace up your hiking boots, or simply lean back and let the Donnersberger hosts pamper you.
