In the very north of the Palatinate, the Donnersberg region captivates with its charming interplay of rolling hills, wide valleys, rustic forests and romantic vineyards. Surrounded by the Palatinate Forest and Leiningerland, Rheinhessen and the Palatinate Highlands, the Donnersberg towers above the surrounding countryside. It is the namesake and landmark of the region and, at 687 meters, is the highest elevation in the Palatinate. Only those who have climbed it and enjoyed the breathtaking view from the Ludwigsturm or Königsstuhl can rightly claim to have been to the very top in the Palatinate.
