The program is a walk through the different districts of the city, which at the same time represents a cross-section of Brazilian literature and the great diversity of Brazilian music. Texts by Jorge Amado, Jose Paulo Paes and Geovani Martins meet the music of the famous bossa nova artist Antonio Carlos Jobim, the representatives of the Brazilian choros Hermeto Pascoal and Sivuca, as well as the music of Egberto Gismonti. The pulsating music of samba, bossa nova and choro is presented by Axel Grote (sax, flute), Sebastian Kling (piano), Florian Werther (bass) and Axel Pape (drums). Nathalie Hoyer performs the lyrics and songs sensitively and sonorously, a program that reflects the Brazilian attitude to life.
