Under the motto “Freedom, Unity, Hope”, people are once again invited to sing together on Römerplatz in Kirchheimbolanden.
The Germany-wide initiative – supported by politicians, music associations and churches – has been in existence for several years and calls on people to celebrate the Day of German Unity by singing and making music and to gratefully remember the miracle of the Peaceful Revolution and the fall of the Berlin Wall. In view of the current crises, candles are to be used as a sign of hope and strength to shape the future of the country in unity and living together.
The singing will be led by the Donnersberg district choir, the Cantamus choir and the Kirchheimbolanden and Eisenberg brass choirs.
From 6.30 pm, text booklets and candles will be handed out on Römerplatz before the communal singing begins at 7 pm.
