Old Town Charm

In Kirchheimbolanden, 10 breweries and around 30 inns were documented for the 18th and 19th centuries. Only very few have been preserved.

However, new ones were also opened in the 20th century. An example is the ‘Hofschänke’. Its charming Baroque ensemble on the southern section of the city wall offers a refined setting and thus points to the (service) nobility who lived here in the 18th century, distinguishing it as a princely residential city.

The Middle Ages are also still evident: The inner courtyard of the property directly borders the city wall, which here features two arches stacked one above the other.
